Chelsea have struggled to offload Raheem Sterling permanently, despite successfully loaning him out, as the winger no longer fits into Enzo Maresca’s plans. However, the club is finding it difficult to part ways with him for good.

Details: So far, Chelsea haven’t managed to sell Sterling to Arsenal, where he’s currently playing on loan. According to teamTALK, even after lowering the price from £50 million to £25 million, the Gunners are still reluctant to pay that amount. The most Chelsea can hope for from Arsenal appears to be around £15 million.

Reminder: The loan agreement between Chelsea and Arsenal does not include an automatic purchase option for the winger. Therefore, if Arsenal decide they want to keep Sterling, they’ll need to negotiate the transfer fee with their London rivals. The 29-year-old is contracted to Arsenal until the end of the season.
