On Tuesday, March 4, the first matches of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 took place. In one of the clashes, Arsenal visited PSV.

Mikel Arteta's team had a very successful first half, going into the break with a 3-1 scoreline. And in the second half, the Canaries scored four more times, giving them a 7-1 aggregate victory.

Interestingly, Arsenal had never before scored more than five goals in an away UEFA Champions League match (neither in the group stage nor in the knockout rounds). Previously, their largest away wins were against Sporting and Inter (both 5-1) in the group stage.

Moreover, Arsenal scored 6+ goals in an away European competition match for the first time since November 1993. Back then, the "Gunners" thrashed Standard Liège 7-0 in the Cup Winners' Cup.

Earlier, we reported that Arsenal's young talents Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly achieved a unique feat in the Champions League.
