Arsenal travelled away to Inter for their Matchday 7 UEFA Champions League clash and claimed a 3–1 victory, setting a unique club record in the process.

Details: As reported by Opta, Arsenal have won seven consecutive matches in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club’s history. The Gunners had never previously achieved such a run. However, the overall English record currently belongs to Manchester City, who won ten straight Champions League matches in March 2024.

Arsenal sit top of the UEFA Champions League standings with 21 points after seven rounds. The Gunners are also leading the Premier League table, having collected 50 points from 22 matches.

Meanwhile, PSG lost to a team outside Europe’s top five leagues for the first time since 2013. Prior to that defeat, the Parisians had gone 32 matches without such a loss.

Reminder: Mbappe scored a brace early in the match, finding the net in the fifth and 26th minutes of the first half, thereby matching the tally of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
