Details: According to Sam Mokbel of the BBC, the Gunners will have to dig deep to get the deal over the line: the Birmingham club are demanding £60 million—around €70 million—for their defensive linchpin. Arsenal already had a July offer knocked back, with the two clubs miles apart in their valuations; at the Emirates, Konsa was rated at £30-35 million.

The situation is heating up, as Liverpool have now entered the race for the 28-year-old England international—meaning Arsenal face stiff competition to land their target.
