London club Arsenal have initiated negotiations to extend the contract of midfielder Declan Rice, aiming to secure the future of one of their key players for years to come.

According to BBC Sport, discussions have already begun and are currently in the early stages. There is no set timeline for completion, but the process to keep Rice in North London is already underway. The new deal will include a pay rise, positioning Rice among the highest earners in the squad.

As a reminder, Rice joined Arsenal from West Ham in 2023 for £105 million and has since emerged as one of the team’s leaders. The 27-year-old’s current contract runs for another two seasons, with an option to extend for an additional year.
