London’s Arsenal are continuing their search for reinforcements in the English Premier League.
Details: According to Caughtoffside, Arsenal are making a strong push to sign Newcastle United and Brazil national team midfielder Bruno Guimarães. Despite the Gunners having already seen two bids rejected for the midfielder, the club’s management remains confident they can strike a deal with the Magpies.
The deal could cost Arsenal between £75-80 million, and the player himself has reportedly informed Newcastle’s management of his desire to move to London.
Guimarães featured for Newcastle in 41 matches across all competitions last season, notching up nine goals and eight assists. According to Transfermarkt, the midfielder is currently valued at €70 million.
