Arsenal join elite list of English clubs in the UEFA Champions League
Arsenal defeated Atletico Madrid 1:0 in the Champions League second leg and advanced to the final of the competition, joining an elite list.
Details: According to Stats Foot, Arsenal have become the sixth English club to reach the UEFA Champions League final at least twice. Only Liverpool (10), Manchester United (5), Chelsea (3), Nottingham Forest (2), and Manchester City (2) have done so more often.
This is Arsenal’s first final in 20 years. The last time they played in a final was in 2006.
The other finalist will be decided in the tie between Bayern Munich and PSG. The second leg will take place on Wednesday, May 6. The first encounter ended 5:4 in favour of the Parisians.
