Arsenal hosted Luton Town at the Emirates Stadium in the 31st round of the English Premier League.

The Gunners started the match with a slightly experimental lineup. Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice, Gabriel Jesus, and Jakub Kiwior were rested.

Instead, for the first time in 3.5 years, Reiss Nelson started in lineup an EPL match. Alexander Zinchenko returned to the starting lineup, and the Emirates Stadium welcomed Thomas Partey, who recently recovered from a serious injury. Emil Smith Rowe also got his chance.

The Hatters failed to pose any problems for the home team, and the Gunners secured a comfortable victory in a cost-effective manner. The outcome of the match was essentially decided in the first half. Martin Ødegaard opened the scoring with a precise shot midway through the half, adding another goal to his tally. And just before the end of the first half, Daiki Hashioka inadvertently put the ball into his own net while contesting with Nelson.

The second half didn't produce anything noteworthy, with both teams managing only four shots on target combined. Under Mikel Arteta's guidance, Arsenal bagged the routine three points and preserved energy ahead of their matches against Brighton and Bayern Munich.

With this win, Arsenal moved to the top of the Premier League table, edging past Liverpool by one point. However, the Merseyside club will play their match against Sheffield on April 4th.
