Arsenal has approved the departure of Belgian midfielder Sambi Lokonga, according to insider Fabrizio Romano.
The player is of interest to La Liga club Sevilla. It is noted that the clubs have already begun negotiations regarding the transfer of the footballer.
The purchase clause's valuation is being discussed between the clubs, as the player has given an initial green light to the move to the Spanish club.
Lokonga joined Arsenal in 2021 from Anderlecht for €17.5 million. However, he struggled to secure a spot under Mikel Arteta and went out on loan.
Last season, the 24-year-old Belgian spent time on loan at Luton Town, where he played 19 matches, scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists.
Previously, it was reported that Arsenal is ready to take advantage of Barcelona's financial difficulties to sign a coveted player.
