Arsenal's head coach, Mikel Arteta, is interested in signing the young RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, as reported by the Evening Standard.

The Gunners have been monitoring the Slovenian striker for several months now. Sesko's contract includes a release clause of £42.5 million. Following RB Leipzig's exit from the UEFA Champions League, Arsenal's head coach wants to add "firepower" to the attack.

Despite Arsenal scoring 75 goals in the Premier League, which is the second-highest, they lack a traditional striker. Hence, their interest in Benjamin Sesko.

Sesko joined Red Bull Salzburg in 2019. During his time in Salzburg, he scored 29 goals in 79 Austrian Bundesliga matches. Benjamin signed with Leipzig in 2023 for £20.5 million.

It's worth noting that Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus is having a challenging season. The Brazilian has the lowest conversion rate among all Premier League forwards who have taken over 50 shots on goal this season.
