Arsenal has officially announced the extension of the contract with defender Ben White.

The England national team defender has signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners. The agreement is set until 2028 and includes an option to extend for another year.

Since joining Arsenal from Brighton in July 2021, White has proven himself as a key player for the team, playing 122 matches for the Gunners in all competitions and scoring four goals. In the current season, the 26-year-old Englishman has played 39 matches in all tournaments, scoring two goals and providing four assists.

"It's fantastic news that White is committing his future to our club. Ben is a key player for us, a top professional with a winning mentality and one of the guys who sets an example every day. Determination and a positive attitude are crucial, but he's also a wonderful person. We all look forward to continuing to work with Ben in the coming years," commented Mikel Arteta on the deal.

Arsenal is currently at the top of the Premier League and has reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2010. It was previously reported that the club is ready to exercise the option to buy the rights to the loaned player.
