Arsenal enter the history books among English clubs in the UEFA Champions League
Arsenal travelled to Brugge for their UEFA Champions League fixture and claimed a confident 3–0 victory, rewriting part of the competition’s history along the way.
Details: According to Opta, Arsenal have become only the fourth English club in UEFA Champions League history to win their first six matches of the campaign. The only other teams to achieve this were Liverpool in the 2021–22 season, Manchester City in 2023–24, and Liverpool again in 2024–25.
Arsenal now have 18 points from six Champions League outings and sit top of their group. Their goal difference stands at 17:1.
In the win over Brugge, Gabriel Martinelli also became the first player in Arsenal’s history to score in five consecutive UEFA Champions League matches.
Reminder: In Matchday 6 between Real Madrid and Manchester City, Brazilian winger Rodrygo found the net, scoring his fifth goal in matches against teams coached by Josep Guardiola.
