Arsenal deliver their best results since the 2001/02 season. What have they achieved?

Arsenal travelled to face Sporting in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final, secured a narrow 1–0 victory, and moved closer to a historic milestone.

Details: According to Stats Foot, Arsenal have already recorded 38 wins this season — their best tally since the 2001/02 campaign. Back then, the team registered 39 victories, meaning they are now on the verge of matching that record.

Thanks to the 1–0 win over Sporting, the English Premier League has secured an additional spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League. As a result, at least five English clubs will once again compete in Europe’s top-tier club competition.
