Arne Slot provides update on Florian Wirtz and outlines possible return date

Florian Wirtz has missed Liverpool’s last two matches and will not be returning to the pitch in the immediate future. The Merseyside manager was asked about the situation.

Details: As confirmed by the Dutch head coach Arne Slot, the player is unlikely to feature this week.

Quote: “Tomorrow’s game will probably come too soon, and perhaps the weekend fixture as well. We expect him to return sometime next week,” Slot stated.

Liverpool’s clash with Nottingham Forest is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, followed by a meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday, March 6.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s French striker Hugo Ekitike has etched his name into the annals of English football history. The forward has become the first French player to score at least 11 goals in his debut Premier League season.

Reminder: The Premier League Matchday 28 encounter between Liverpool and West Ham at Anfield turned into a truly rare statistical achievement.
