Armand Duplantis is the person of the day at the Olympics according to Dailysports
At the 2024 Olympics in Paris, the athletics competitions continue, with four sets of medals awarded.
According to Dailysports, the standout athlete of the day, not only in athletics but also at the Olympics overall, was Swedish high jumper Armand Duplantis.
To win gold, Duplantis needed to clear 6.10 meters, which the 24-year-old Swede achieved without a single miss. However, he didn't stop there and aimed to break his own world record of 6.23 meters.
Duplantis requested the bar to be set at 6.25 meters. His first two attempts were unsuccessful, but on the third attempt, Armand succeeded in breaking his own record.
This Olympics marks the second in Duplantis's career, and he has become an Olympic champion for the second time.
