The legendary Ángel Di María retired from the Argentina national team in the summer of 2024, but that could soon change.
Details: According to DSSPORTS, players of the Argentina national team believe Di María can still be incredibly valuable to the squad. Leaders of the "Albiceleste," including Lionel Messi, have already spoken to him about the matter.
Di María has yet to give a definitive answer to their request but has not ruled out the possibility of returning to play at the 2026 World Cup.
It is also known that Benfica wants to keep Di María for another season. His current contract expires this summer.
The 36-year-old Di María has scored 13 goals and provided 6 assists in 25 matches for Benfica across all competitions. For the Argentina national team, he has played 145 matches and scored 31 goals.
