Real Madrid travelled to face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League second leg, where one of their players etched his name into the history books.

Details: Arda Güler struck twice within the opening 30 minutes and, as reported by Stats Foot, became the first Turkish player to score a brace in a knockout-stage match since the 1992/93 season.

Earlier in the match, Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer also made an error, passing the ball straight to an opponent, which allowed Madrid to score from the mistake.

Reminder: Real Madrid’s preparations for the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash against Bayern Munich were thrown into chaos due to a dramatic incident that occurred late in the evening.
