Arbeloa comments on Vinícius’ celebration and responds to Mourinho

The controversy surrounding the alleged racist incident involving Vinícius continues to dominate the headlines, and now Real Madrid’s manager has issued a response to Mourinho.

Details: Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Álvaro Arbeloa stated that Vinícius celebrated his goal just like any other footballer would. He stressed that a victim of racism should never be blamed.

Quote: “Vini scored and celebrated, just as many players have done in the past. All of those players celebrated regardless of the colour of their skin. You can never blame the victim. It is absolutely unacceptable,” Arbeloa declared.

We also reported that Real Madrid intend to continue close cooperation with all sporting and social institutions to eradicate racism, violence and hatred both in sport and in society as a whole.

Reminder: Jose Luis Chilavert harshly criticized the behavior of Vinicius and Mbappe, claiming that football has "become gay."
