The young star of the Mercedes team, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, is having his first full season in Formula 1. The team rewarded him generously, and to take advantage of the gift, he had to exploit a loophole in Italian law.

Antonelli recently received the keys to a Mercedes AMG GT 63 S supercar, and it was reported that he couldn't drive it for three years due to technical restrictions on new drivers in Italy.

Italians prohibit new drivers from getting behind the wheel of a car with a power output exceeding 73 hp per ton and from accelerating on the highway over 100 km/h (with the actual limit being 130). The new Mercedes AMG GT63 S has a power-to-weight ratio of 368 hp per ton and a top speed of 320 km/h.

However, Antonelli can easily bypass these rules since his driver's license was issued not in Italy but in San Marino, and the restrictions do not apply to him.
