At high speed! Franco Colapinto tests the track ahead of Bahrain Grand Prix races

Alpine Formula 1 team driver Franco Colapinto took a spin on the racing track in Sakhir, Bahrain, where another F1 race weekend will take place. The athlete shared photos and videos from the track on his Instagram page.

Colapinto posted several photos of the racing car and himself in a racing suit, along with some videos showing him speeding around the track. The Argentine also added the caption, “FAST laps in the temple of speed.”

It is worth noting that Colapinto is still a reserve driver for the Alpine team and has yet to participate in official races. However, Alpine regularly uses him for Grand Prix stage previews.

Franco appeared in a promotional video for his team, introducing the Bahrain track, where he talked about the features of this circuit and shared his impressions of it.

Recall that Colapinto's best achievement on Formula 1 tracks is 8th place at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in 2024. At that time, the Argentine was still racing for the British team Williams, which he left at the end of the season to become an Alpine driver.
