Antoine Semenyo continued his impressive form by scoring his 14th goal of the season to hand Manchester City a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Leeds United at Elland Road. The crucial win moves City to within two points of Premier League leaders Arsenal as the title race heats up.

The £62.5 million January signing from Bournemouth struck just before half-time, reacting quickly inside the box to poke home from close range. It was his sixth goal for City since completing his winter move.

Pep Guardiola’s side had to cope without injured striker Erling Haaland, but Semenyo’s decisive finish proved enough to secure all three points. The result also means City have now won their last three league visits to Elland Road.
