Another young talent for Maresca. Chelsea leads the race for signing Dorgu

Despite their already bloated squad, Chelsea continues to work on infusing fresh talent into their lineup, and a new young player has emerged on the radar of the Blues' scouts. Chelsea are now considered the front-runners in the race for his signature.

Details: According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are one of the leading contenders to sign Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu, who is also being pursued by Crystal Palace, Tottenham, Napoli, and Juventus.

The 20-year-old wing-back is expected to come at a high price, with the Serie A club reportedly demanding around £50 million for the promising talent. However, Chelsea is prepared to pay this amount.

Reminder: Dorgu has been on Chelsea’s transfer radar for some time, with the club initially planning to sign him during the summer, but the deal did not materialize.
