37-year-old Milan forward Olivier Giroud could potentially move to MLS this summer. La Gazzetta dello Sport reported this possibility.

The contract of the experienced striker with AC Milan expires on June 30 and has not yet been renewed. There have been no negotiations initiated between the parties, and there seems to be no apparent interest in extending the collaboration.

If Giroud heads to MLS, he'll be following in the footsteps of his former French national teammate Hugo Lloris, who moved to Los Angeles in January.

In the current season, the 37-year-old Giroud has played 21 matches for Milan, scoring nine goals and providing six assists.

Giroud is also renowned for his spells at London clubs Arsenal and Chelsea. In 2018, Olivier became a World Cup champion with the French national team and holds the record for the most goals scored for Le Bleu.

Milan currently holds the third position in the Serie A standings after 18 rounds. On January 7, Stefano Pioli's team will face Empoli.
