In the 16th round of La Liga, Barcelona cruised past Osasuna with ease. The match ended 2-0, thanks to a brace from Brazilian winger Raphinha.
Details: According to Opta, after their victory over Osasuna, Barcelona have now achieved a streak of seven consecutive La Liga wins by a margin of at least two goals — the first time they've managed this feat since 2017. Back then, the team won eight in a row: five under Luis Enrique and three under Ernesto Valverde.
The win over Osasuna allowed the Catalans to further extend their lead over Real Madrid. The gap between the sides now stands at seven points. However, the Madrid club still has a game in hand and will face Alaves tomorrow, December 14, at 21:00 Central European Time.
Reminder: Marc-André ter Stegen will not leave Barcelona this winter and intends to stay at the club.
