Robert Lewandowski is back in the spotlight. The Polish striker didn't play a single minute in Barcelona's 2-0 victory over Osasuna, despite being named among the substitutes.
Details: According to Catalunya Ràdio, Lewandowski was experiencing minor hamstring discomfort, which led coach Hansi Flick to opt against taking any risks. In an emergency, he could have been brought on for 15 minutes, but after Barcelona's opening goal, his involvement was no longer necessary.
Although the club hasn't officially confirmed this, it's already the fifth match this season Lewandowski has missed due to muscle issues. During the 2025/26 season, he's made 17 appearances, scoring just 8 goals and providing 1 assist.
In La Liga, this is the second consecutive game where Lewandowski has stayed on the bench without coming on, the first being against Betis on December 6. In other matches where he didn't start, he was given playing time off the bench.
It's worth noting that the Pole's contract with Barcelona expires at the end of this season, and it's still unclear whether he will remain with the Catalan club.
Reminder: Barcelona winger Raphinha has already scored 10 goals from outside the box, matching Yamal in this statistic.
