Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton once again failed to make it out of the first qualifying segment—this time at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, marking his third consecutive early exit.

For the 40-year-old Brit, this result marks a historic low: Hamilton is the first Ferrari driver ever to be eliminated in Q1 three times in a row. The seven-time world champion will start Sunday’s race from only 16th on the grid.

It's worth noting that during practice, Lewis was also involved in a crash that damaged his car. The final race of the Formula 1 season in Abu Dhabi is set for Sunday, December 7, with lights out at 14:00 Central European Time.

Pole position went to Max Verstappen, who remains in the hunt for a fifth consecutive title. Previously, we covered the key scenarios heading into the season finale.
