Another scandal erupts at FIFA! Has a smear campaign against Gianni Infantino begun?
Following the recent boycott by most football organizations in response to FIFA President Gianni Infantino's decision to sell rights to private parties, the organization has gone public with a new statement.
Details: On his Twitter, journalist Ben Jacobs published a letter from FIFA, in which the organization claims that a coordinated campaign has been launched against President Gianni Infantino to discredit him, accusing critics of spreading misinformation.
At the end of the letter, the organization stated that FIFA's responsibility lies with its 211 member associations and football around the world.
We will not be distracted or deterred from strengthening the organization, serving our member associations, and continuing our work to truly globalize football. Through the FIFA President and FIFA administration, we remain firmly focused on this mission, more determined than ever to see it through.
