Manchester City's striker has broken yet another record - the Norwegian has become the youngest player to score 40 goals in the UEFA Champions League, as reported by Marca.

At the age of 23 years and 130 days, Haaland now ranks among the top 20 all-time leading scorers in the Champions League, surpassing the likes of Ferenc Puskás, Edinson Cavani, and Gerd Müller.

The goal he netted against RB Leipzig also set several personal records. It marked his 40th career goal, achieved in the fewest number of games – a mere 35. Furthermore, he stands as the youngest footballer to reach this milestone, surpassing both Kylian Mbappé and Ruud van Nistelrooy.

It's worth noting that Manchester City triumphed over Leipzig with a scoreline of 3-2. In the first half, RB Leipzig took the lead in the 13th minute, and Openda doubled the advantage 20 minutes later. After the break, Manchester City took charge.

Haaland narrowed the gap in the 55th minute, and by the 70th minute, the score was leveled at 2-2. In the 87th minute, Juan Alvarez secured City's victory with a 3-2 outcome.
