Wolverhampton has expressed outrage over numerous racist incidents targeting striker Tolu Arokodare.
Details: The player was subjected to attacks from several social media users immediately after today’s Premier League Matchweek 27 clash against Crystal Palace, as he missed a penalty in the match and his club went on to lose 0-1.
Representatives of the Wolves stated that the club is disgusted by such behavior and condemns it in the strongest possible terms.
“There is no place for racism in football, online, or anywhere in society. We consider this behavior abhorrent and illegal,” the official press release reads.
It is reported that Wolverhampton has already filed complaints with the relevant platforms and intends to work closely with the Premier League and law enforcement. The club’s goal is to identify those responsible and ensure they are held accountable.
Reminder: Crystal Palace management wants to see Gareth Southgate at the helm of the team.
