After renewed discussions between the Crystal Palace management and current head coach Oliver Glasner regarding a potential contract extension, the board has made a surprising decision.

Details: According to Football Insider, following another attempt to persuade Glasner to stay at Crystal Palace—which he declined—the management has decided to replace the coach in the near future.

The source reports that the club is trying to bring in former England national team manager Gareth Southgate, offering him the role of interim manager until the end of the 2025/26 season. It's worth recalling that Southgate played for the Eagles in the 1990s, making over 150 appearances in a Palace shirt.

The Premier League club believes that fans have now turned their backs on Oliver Glasner, and one possible solution is to appoint an interim coach until his departure in the summer.
