On Tuesday, August 6th, the final of the Greco-Roman wrestling in the 60 kg weight category took place at the Tokyo Olympics.
The gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games was won by Japanese wrestler Fumita Kenichiro. In the final match, the Japanese athlete defeated China's Cao Liguo.
The bronze medals were shared by Zholaman Sharshenbekov from Kyrgyzstan and Ri Se-Ung from North Korea.
This is the 11th gold medal for Japan at the 2024 Games. In total, athletes from the Land of the Rising Sun have won 28 medals.
