Another blow for Liverpool: Iraola loses a key player to injury again
Liverpool suffered another personnel setback in their seventh-round English Premier League clash with Brentford. Dominik Szoboszlai picked up an injury and was forced to leave the pitch before half-time.
The Hungarian midfielder was named in the starting lineup despite his recent fitness concerns. However, he was unable to continue: the player felt pain, signaled to the bench and requested a substitution. Trey Nyoni came on in his place.
The situation is particularly frustrating for Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola, as Szoboszlai had already missed the previous two matches — against Manchester City and LASK — with an injury. In recent weeks, the Hungarian had been struggling with a hamstring problem, and his return to the starting lineup was supposed to be welcome news for the Merseyside club.

The coaching staff will now have to assess the condition of another important player. It is not yet known how serious the new injury is or how long the midfielder will need to recover.
