Another blow for Hamed Junior Traore
The World Cup dream is slipping further away for the Ivory Coast international.
Hamed Junior Traore was unable to see out Marseille’s match against Nantes on Saturday 2 May, on Matchday 32 of Ligue 1. The Ivorian forward was injured and carried off on a stretcher.
Although the extent of his injury is not yet known, it goes without saying that this is one setback too many for Hamed Junior Traore. It comes just one month before the World Cup, which will be held this summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
It is a major blow for the Ivorian midfielder, who is often plagued by fitness issues in the run-up to major international tournaments. Although there was no guarantee he would be selected by Emerse Fae for the trip to America, Hamed Junior Traore has once again seen his last hopes of a national team call-up dashed.
