Angola and Zimbabwe played out a 1-1 draw in their Africa Cup of Nations Group B clash at the Stade de Marrakech on Friday, with both teams collecting their first point of the tournament. Gelson Dala fired Angola ahead in the 24th minute, finishing smartly from To Carneiro’s chipped pass after a flowing move. Zimbabwe responded just before the break as returning captain Knowledge Musona controlled Bill Antonio’s pass and struck decisively to level the score.

Goalkeepers stood firm in the second half. Zimbabwe’s Washington Arubi denied Jonathan Buatu from close range, while Angola keeper Hugo Marques tipped Tawanda Chirewa’s late effort wide. David Carmo also made a crucial block to stop Prince Dube from scoring.

The draw leaves both teams under pressure ahead of decisive final games.
