Angel Yondjo is expected to receive his first call-up to Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions

David Pagou is reported to have included him in his squad, due to be published shortly, for the March 2026 international break.

Angel Yondjo was not called up to the U23 Lions for a training camp scheduled in Spain, notably at Alaves. His absence from Guy Feutchine’s squad for this trip to Spain has sparked confusion and reactions in Cameroon.

But the confusion appears to be clearing up. According to the Cameroonian press, the 19-year-old striker, who plays for Lille’s B team, will be called up by Cameroon manager David Pagou. The young player is expected to take part in the FIFA Series in Australia with the Indomitable Lions. This will be a major first for Angel Yondjo, who has already played for the U17 and U20 teams as well as the senior Indomitable Lions local squad.

During the FIFA Series, Cameroon will face Australia and China on 27 and 31 March 2026.
