Liverpool's huge pursuit of Bradley Barcola appears to be entering its final act. The France international is reportedly preparing for a trip to England that could turn weeks of speculation into a blockbuster arrival at Anfield.

Details: According to L'Équipe, as relayed by Polymarket Sports, Barcola will fly to England on Saturday to sign for Liverpool. The report follows claims that Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain have already reached an agreement in principle for the 23 year old winger.

The move has been building throughout the closing stage of the transfer window. Reports on Thursday stated that Liverpool had found common ground with PSG, with the overall package believed to be worth around £120 million, or close to €140 million. The final paperwork and the player's medical are now expected to be the key remaining steps before an official announcement can be made. Barcola has long been viewed as Liverpool's leading target for the left side of the attack. His pace, direct running and ability to create danger in one on one situations would give the Reds another elite option in the final third. A Saturday trip would also give the club a clear signal that negotiations have moved beyond the difficult financial stage. The transfer is not official yet, so the final details must still be completed. However, the expected journey to England suggests that both clubs are working towards a rapid conclusion. Liverpool will be eager to avoid any late complication and bring one of European football's most sought after wingers to Anfield before the window closes.

It's worth noting that Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in August 2023 and is under contract in Paris until 2028. He made 49 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists.
