Andries Ulderink leaves Cape Town City without working a single day

The Dutch coach arrived in Cape Town a few weeks ago and was expected to take over as head coach of the Citizens at the start of the 2025/26 season, but something went awry.
Details: According to the latest information obtained by iDiski Times, Andries Ulderink has turned down the chance to lead Cape Town City after receiving an offer from Bayer Leverkusen to become assistant coach to Erik ten Hag, who was recently appointed as the team's head coach.
Despite already taking part in City training sessions ahead of their first PSL promotion playoff match and being spotted in the stands during a goalless draw against Orbit College, Ulderink ultimately could not resist the offer from the German club — a chance to work alongside a renowned compatriot.
The ambitions of the 55-year-old specialist left the South African club with no chance, as they continue their search for a head coach, still uncertain in which league they will be competing next season.
Reminder: Chelsea have set their sights on a young Cape Town City player. Who could it be?
