Andre Onana remains open to a return to the national team
The Cameroonian goalkeeper insists, however, that everything will depend on manager David Pagou.
Andre Onana was not called up for the Cameroon national team’s most recent training camps. He did not play in the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco with the Indomitable Lions, nor was he selected for the FIFA Series in Australia. Onana recently stated that he has no issues with the Cameroon national team or the Football Federation, but with a person whose identity he has not revealed. However, despite his current situation with the Indomitable Lions, he has declared that he remains available for the national team.
The national team is for all Cameroonians and I haven’t retired. But if I’m not called up, it simply means I’m not up to standard. The day Coach Pagou considers me good enough, I’ll be called up and we’ll see. For the moment, we have Epassy, who is good. We have Simon Ngapandouetnbu and other new players.
