The Indomitable Lions goalkeeper’s latest comments are said to have been very poorly received by the Cameroonian Football Federation.

Andre Onana could be barred from wearing the Cameroon national team shirt for several years. At issue are comments he made a few days ago. The Manchester United goalkeeper on loan at Trabzonspor, stated during a live stream on TikTok: “I have no problem with FECAFOOT, but with an individual who is using it to settle scores.”

Although Onana has not publicly revealed the identity of the person he accuses of settling scores, the Cameroonian Football Federation has taken these comments very seriously. Consequently, the governing body of Cameroonian football is considering imposing severe sanctions on him, according to Sport News Africa. FECAFOOT officials are reportedly preparing a disciplinary decision against the goalkeeper. This is expected to be a key topic of discussion at the governing body’s next general assembly.

Andre Onana faces a suspension of several years from the Cameroonian national team. It should be noted that he had not been selected for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations or the March 2026 FIFA Series.
