Details: Speaking on the show El Cafelito with Josep Pedrerol, Portuguese legend Paulo Futre claimed the 18-year-old winger could become the best footballer in the world—but only under one condition.
“Lamine Yamal will be the best in the world... but he needs to get a girlfriend as soon as possible,” Futre said, surprising the host.
According to the former player, personal stability can help a young footballer focus better on his professional career.
Futre explained his stance by citing personal experience:
“When I met the mother of my children, I became a professional 100%. I stopped going out so often, became more responsible, and it immediately reflected on my role in the team.”
He said that this was the key to becoming an important figure in Porto’s dressing room.
