Amorim stuns everyone by substituting Casemiro in Newcastle clash – Brazilian left shell-shocked
Casemiro looked visibly stunned after being substituted in the second half of Manchester United's match against Newcastle. The experienced Brazilian could hardly believe the coaching staff’s decision when his number flashed up on the board.
Details: In the 60th minute at Old Trafford, United manager Ruben Amorim made the unexpected call to replace Casemiro with Leny Yoro. The midfielder was clearly surprised and reacted emotionally upon realizing he was the one to make way.
After Casemiro left the pitch, Manchester United doubled down on defense and managed to withstand heavy Newcastle pressure, holding on to their narrow lead. This victory allowed the Red Devils to edge closer to the Premier League’s top-four race.
It’s worth noting this was Casemiro’s sixteenth appearance of the season for the Mancunians, in which he’s contributed four goals and one assist.
Reminder: Manchester United have set their sights on Everton midfielder James Garner.
