Barcelona’s 17-year-old prodigy Lamine Yamal is rightfully considered one of the greatest football talents of this decade. Today, his trophy collection will grow with another prestigious honor.
Details: According to Toni Juanmartí, Yamal will be announced as the winner of the Golden Boy award, an accolade presented annually by Tuttosport to the best young footballer of the year.
In the voting, Yamal edged out talents such as Endrick, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Pau Cubarsí, Arda Güler, Savinho, Leny Yoro, Kobbie Mainoo, and many others.
Earlier, Yamal was awarded the Kopa Trophy by France Football, recognizing the best young player of the year.
Despite his young age, Yamal has already made 67 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 13 goals and providing 17 assists.
In 2023, the Golden Boy award was won by Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham.
Reminder: Yamal is currently recovering from a minor injury that has sidelined him for Barcelona’s last three matches.
