In recent matches, Barcelona has notably struggled with the absence of one of its key players, Lamine Yamal, in the starting lineup. Today, it was revealed when the 17-year-old prodigy might make his return to the squad.
Details: Barcelona’s head coach, Hansi Flick, has confirmed that Yamal will not be able to play in the upcoming Champions League match against Brest. However, there is a chance he could return to the lineup over the weekend.
Quote:
"Lamine Yamal is feeling much better. He will miss the game against Brest because we want to be cautious, but we hope he will return on Saturday... possibly on the bench. In any case, there is no need to rush.”
The match against Brest is scheduled for tomorrow, November 26. On Saturday, November 30, Barcelona will host Las Palmas at home.
This season, Yamal has played 16 matches, scoring 6 goals and providing 8 assists.
Reminder: In the match against Celta (2:2), central midfielder Gavi returned to Barcelona’s starting lineup for the first time in 369 days.
