Ambitious. Jose Riveiro sets Al Ahly's goal for the Club World Cup

Former Orlando Pirates boss Jose Riveiro has taken charge of Egyptian giants Al Ahly, and the team is set to take the stage at the Club World Cup very soon. The Spanish tactician has made the squad's primary objective clear.
Details: In an interview with yallakora.com, Riveiro stated that the team's mission is to reach the Round of 16 at the Club World Cup. Al Ahly are now working intensely to prepare for the opening fixtures of the tournament.
Quote: "Our goal at this stage is to advance to the Round of 16 as the first step. We want to achieve positive results and are working hard in preparation for the opening match against Inter Miami," Riveiro emphasized.
The Spaniard also added that winning the first match will be extremely important, both for the team and for the fans back in Egypt. He stressed that Al Ahly is ready to face Lionel Messi, but pointed out that the entire Inter Miami squad poses a threat.
Quote: "Either way, we are excited to play against Messi, but that does not diminish the significance of the other Inter Miami players. We are preparing for the whole team, not just one footballer," Jose Riveiro added.
The opening match between Al Ahly and Inter Miami will take place in the early hours of Sunday, June 15, with kick-off scheduled for 2:00 a.m. Central European Time.
Reminder: Jose Riveiro has stated that he does not plan to sign players from Orlando Pirates. He is fully satisfied with the current Al Ahly squad.
