Jose Riveiro has recently taken charge of Al Ahly Cairo, having previously built an impressive career with the Orlando Pirates. Naturally, he was asked whether he intends to lure any players from his former club.
Details: In an interview with the club's TV channel, Jose Riveiro stated that he has no plans to bring in anyone from Orlando Pirates. He expressed his satisfaction with Al Ahly's current squad and is determined to work with these players.
Quote: "I want to give every player a chance. I haven't asked a single player from Orlando to join Al Ahly. The current Al Ahly squad is excellent, and club president Mahmoud El-Khatib is always providing support to the team. I prefer to focus on working with those who are already here so they can compete in the near future," the Spanish manager emphasized.
Earlier, we reported that Orlando Pirates left winger is close to joining their archrival. Monnapule Saleng could soon find himself at Kaizer Chiefs.
Reminder: Riveiro's coaching staff at Al Ahly now includes Miguel Belver Esteve, who previously worked with him at Orlando Pirates.
