AmaZulu interested in out of favour Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Thabo Cele

AmaZulu have emerged as potential suitors for out of favour Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Thabo Cele.

Cele is not part of the Amakhosi squad which travelled to Spain for pre-season under newly-appointed gaffer Fernando da Cruz due to contractual challenges at the club.

The midfielder who joined Chiefs midway through last season was seen participating in an amateur tournament during the ongoing pre-season which irked the Chiefs management.

And what also makes matters worse for him at Chiefs is his reported negative behaviour towards previous co-coaches in Cedric Kaze and Ben Youssef Khalil.

Cele is said to have always been at loggerheads with the two coaches over tactics last season and this is something which also angered the Chiefs hierarchy.

But AmaZulu are said to be keen on salvagingCele's career by bringing him to KZN, where he hails from.

He is no doubt good player but his conduct is detrimental to his progress, something which Usuthu must be wary of before signing him.
