Amad Strike Earns Ivory Coast Draw With Cameroon

Amad Diallo scored his second goal of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations as defending champions Ivory Coast drew 1-1 with Cameroon in a gripping Group F clash in Marrakech. The Manchester United winger opened the scoring in the 51st minute, curling a superb strike into the far corner after collecting a crossfield pass from Ghislain Konan on the counter-attack.

Cameroon responded quickly, with Junior Tchamadeu’s effort taking a deflection before beating the goalkeeper less than six minutes later. The goal sparked a frantic spell early in the second half. Ivory Coast had already seen Franck Kessie finish neatly only for it to be ruled offside, while Danny Namaso struck the crossbar for Cameroon after two deflections.

The draw leaves Ivory Coast and Cameroon point clear of Mozambique at the top of Group F.
