Real Madrid has been showing interest in Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold for several years, and this interest has intensified following Dani Carvajal's recent injury. However, due to the uncertainty surrounding the Englishman’s future, the Spanish capital has begun exploring alternatives and has turned its attention to Juventus player Andrea Cambiaso.

Details: Cambiaso has repeatedly been mentioned as a potential replacement for Carvajal. Although Real Madrid remains most keen on signing Trent, they are keeping tabs on the Italian defender as a backup option, according to Tuttosport. The Spanish champions have already sent scouts on multiple occasions to monitor Cambiaso’s performances for Juventus.
At the same time, reports suggest that Cambiaso himself has no intention of leaving Juventus. He recently extended his contract with the club until 2029 and is aiming to secure the captain's armband in the future.
Reminder: Aston Villa had previously shown interest in Cambiaso, offering around €35 million and a more lucrative personal contract. However, the 24-year-old defender opted to remain in Turin.
Cambiaso has been with Juventus since 2022, when he transferred from Genoa for €8.8 million. After spending his first season on loan at Bologna, he established himself as a key player for Juventus last season.
