‘Real is Real’. Townsend is confident Aleksander-Arnold will not be able to say no to Ancelotti

The future of Liverpool's stars has become rather murky with the departure of Jürgen Klopp. At least the first season with Arne Slot, players like Mohamed Salah or Trent Aleksander-Arnold will spend at Anfield, but what will happen next is unknown. However, there is already speculation that the stars will be leaving Merseyside soon.

Aleksander-Arnold has long been matchmaking with Real Madrid, and the defender is in no rush to extend his contract with Liverpool just yet. This is what fuels the rumours of the player's move to the Santiago Bernabéu. The English football legends are also confident that if Aleksander-Arnold gets a call from the Spanish capital, he is unlikely to be able to turn them down:

‘I don't think he necessarily wants to leave Liverpool or is keen to leave Liverpool, but Real is Real. If there is interest from Real, I don't think as a player you can turn it down. He can't say no to Real. He won the Champions League and the Premier League with Liverpool, he won everything. I don't think he can say no to Real,’ former Tottenham player Andros Townsend told the BBC Monday Night Club programme.
