Alphonso Davies caught driving under the influence. What consequences does he face?
Canadian footballer Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich was stopped by the police and tested for intoxication. The test came back positive.
Details: According to Marca, Davies was stopped in the early hours of Thursday, November 28, at 2:15 AM CET. He took a breathalyzer test, which returned a positive result. At that moment, Davies was forced to pull over, and his friend took the wheel of his Lamborghini, valued at 216,000 euros.
However, Davies' blood alcohol level was 0.6 g/l, which is below the 0.8 g/l threshold. As a result, he faces no more serious consequences than a fine and a one-month suspension of his driver's license. By Friday, November 29, he was back training with the team and preparing for the match against Borussia Dortmund.
By the way, we recently reported that Manchester United is one of several clubs looking for a left-back next summer, and the "Red Devils" have not ruled out the possibility of signing Davies.
Reminder: Previous reports suggested that Davies is reluctant to renew his contract with Bayern, which has piqued the interest of Real Madrid, who hope to bring him in on a free transfer when his current deal expires.
